Economics Doctoral Programme at D-MTEC

The Economics Doctoral Programme at D-MTEC offers special courses at the Ph.D. level to prepare candidates for a doctoral thesis. These courses are open to all doctoral students.

Organization

Overview of the Doctoral Programme

Courses and seminars are split into 6 core courses and additional supplementary courses/seminars. The 1st year core courses cover the main economic fields on an advanced level. In accordance with the thesis supervisor, courses of the Study Center at Gerzensee or of University of Zurich are also eligible. The 2nd year core courses are tailored to the special research areas of ETH economics.

Each term we offer at least one core course and a varying number of supplementary courses/seminars. In many cases, the supplementary courses are held by leading international experts.
