Special Issue of the "Journal of Environmental Economics and Management"

A special issue of the "Journal of Environmental Economics and Management" (editors Charles Mason, Lucas Bretschger, and Sjak Smulders ) will be devoted to the SURED 2010 conference in Ascona, Switzerland. The issue will contain a selection of 7-8 papers of the conference (keynote lectures and contributed papers).

The selection will be based on the following criteria:

• The topic of the paper should be close to the theme of the conference, that is sustainable resource use and economic dynamics. We expect the papers to have a dynamic model (either theoretical or empirical), in which natural resources and/or pollution play and essential role. Also, the consequences of resource use and pollution for economic development should be addressed.
• The normal quality standards of JEEM apply. The usual refereeing process will be followed. Papers need to make a substantial, novel and relevant contribution.

Submission details:

• The deadline for submission is 1 September, 2010.
• Submissions must be sent by email to JEEM[at]uwyo.edu.
• The email subject line must include: Submission to JEEM, special issue on SURED.
• Submitted papers will be processed as blind copies. Any identifying information (including the authors’ names and affiliations, acknowledgments, and location of related material) must only appear on the title page. Alternatively, authors can submitt a regular version and a separate blind copy.
• There are no submission fees for the special issue.
