Many economists distribute technical notes and datasets related to their published works. These documents explain how the authors “clean“ original datasets, how estimation techniques are applied in practice, how econometric tests are carried over, which steps they have followed to estimate particular demand-side or supply-side parameters, or to extract estimatable equations starting from a theoretical model.
A first source of similar documents is given by economists private web-pages: datasets used by the following authors are available at the links below.
